Yesterday, insure.com released results of its survey of a national sample of 2,000 insured drivers from across the country. Among the Top Ten mistaken beliefs about insurance coverage were seven that had to do with auto insurance. Here they are:

Interestingly, men are more likely to believe these myths, according to the survey. Also, older cars are preferred by auto thieves, since their parts are more in-demand.
